PowerSavers Challenge
5 Maryland Schools will win $1,000
March 1st - April 30th, 2014
Schools across Maryland are eligible to compete to reduce their energy use in a PowerSavers Challenge from 3/1/14 to 4/30/14. Students in grades 6 -12 will receive training on how to perform an energy audit at their school and come up with a customized energy savings plan. Schools will try and rack up the largest number of pledged energy savings or create the best energy outreach video and compete to win $1,000.
Applications due by February 28th

How to Enter
1. Register for the Maryland PowerSavers Challenge - Click here to register
2. Complete an Energy Audit at your school
3. Come up with a custom Energy Action Plan for your school
4. Implement the Energy Action Plan and collect pledges and/or make a video
5. Submit your Energy Pledges and/or Video
Five winning schools will be chosen to receive a $1,000 prize given to a classroom teacher. Award categories include the most high school pledged energy savings, the most middle school pledged energy savings, best high school outreach video, best middle school outreach video and crowd favorite.
Winning schools will be chosen by a panel of Lockheed Martin judges.
